I was trying very hard to try and follow the recent variant that has been rising in uk. But it seems to have been either censored maybe from the government. Looking into deeper found this guardian article and explained why very little news on the new variant x.

I had intentional used X here to avoid being censored. I kind of agree not to use countries name, it is a sensitive word.

Listen to Radio 4 this morning....Pfizer 83% effective against the Indian after 2 injections and 2 weeks and the thought that this will climb with further time to 94%, AZ slightly behind at 75% and to climb as well. In summary, get the needle!!

BTW "Spanish" flu was first identified in the USA and brought to Europa by American troops fighting in WWI.

Germany has banned us from entering their country at the moment, because of this new variant. they call it the Indian Variant seemingly.
if it was a English variant, what else would you call it.

by the PHE ( the appalling public health org overseen by one cruddy head Paul Cosford - he's dead he's dea for chrissakes) who have tested good english stock with covid and found they DONT get Indian covid in any large numbers

the usual data is generated by vaccinating a cohort - just a few say 10 000, and then following them and seeing - their fates.
83 % reduction APPEARS to be where 100 were expected to get covid only 13 do - - - pretty good
It can mean other things ( equally as good)

The vaccine is effective against all variants so can everyone just stop looking for something to worry about, have the jab and look forward to June 21st when we can get back to some kind of normality.
