having read ynnafymmi's post below about great expectations, in which she asserts it's the best film ever made on 4 separate occasions, i was wondering what YOU thought the best film ever made was - it may or may not be your favourite film, but what is it for you?

Haha, sorry bednobs but 'big question' and people can choose from my list ...I was going to mention more, including rom-coms (*cough* Music And Lyrics, The Guru). I can definitely live with Shawshank if I were only allowed one.
Mozz, definitely going to put a "Catbus" sticker on my JDM car, if I can find one :-)

Schindler' List - far too long - scenes like the ghetto in Warsaw - 20 minutes of it - after say 10 - 'yes we have the point, now move on.' My ex-mother-in-law was Jewish (reformed, obviously) and she summed it up as "A great movie but needs to have been edited by a Gentile."
