Best Film Ever Made :)
127 Answers
having read ynnafymmi's post below about great expectations, in which she asserts it's the best film ever made on 4 separate occasions, i was wondering what YOU thought the best film ever made was - it may or may not be your favourite film, but what is it for you?

There have been countless studies done on that- and basically seem to come down to a scientifically "kind" face...
I have to cheat as well... no idea which were the "best", but my all-time favourites include...
The Life of David Gale
Dead Poet's Society
One Last Call
K-Pax
Titanic
Love, Actually
The Holiday
And many weirder ones, not worth mentioning:-)

Great question, bednobs.....
For me, it has to be The Shawshank Redemption and the way it's story is told.....brilliant acting all round.....remember seeing this at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, on a very limited cinema release, as it was not given a large cinema outing, as I recall, but went on to be a top video rental and seller, and achieved bit of a cult status.
Superb movie. I have it proudly sitting amongst my Blu Ray collection.
Song of Bernadette and Jaws also deserve a mention.
