There may be another series, provided they don't kill off Ms. Washington. I'll watch it to the end, then make up my mind.
I agree about the poor sound quality, but it's not unique to this programme or current new. This general downgrade started when boom operators were dispensed with at the studios. It's usually the director's fault as he/she is wearing a headset during shooting, the same as the recordist, so can hear the quality at source. After editing, the director sees/hears again what the quality is like, so any problems thereafter are down to them.
So often, when viewing new DVDs, I have to turn on the subtitles to make sense of the mumbling. My hearing is actually quite good.
