A Netflix recommendation.
Started watching it last night, got hooked and watched three episodes. It’s one season with eight episodes, worth a watch.

Is it set in the USA?
Watched it last week, Vagus. IMHO it began well and i was immediately intrigued. However, it was a bit anti-climactic. Still a decent enough watch and, again imho, Jessica Barden (who played the young Laura Oliver) was the best actress in the series.
It is set in America, Barry.

Although set in America it was apparently mostly filmed on Australia.
Will stick with it Ken.
Wasn't trying to put you off, Vagus. As i said, a decent enough watch. I may have been expecting a tad too much from it:-)
Thanks Ken. I rely on you for recommendations!! X
The leading actress (mother) is actually Australian, Toni (something).
I thought it was confused, & drawn out, with different actors playing the same person jumping backwards & forwards in time.

I have a theory that most Netflix film directors are sniffing coke all day. But maybe I'm just easily confused.
I enjoyed it and really didn’t see the twist at the end coming.
Khandro, Toni Colette is indeed an Aussie. As is the lass who plays her daughter, Belle Heathcote and David Wenham who played her brother Jasper.
Sorry just realised Vagus was the op! Thanks Vagus.
Perhaps you have to be Australian to follow the plot ken.

On the Australian theme and absolutely nothing to do with the OP, Mrs K. bought me a black V-neck pullover in 'Geelong wool', which is soft, thin & incredibly warm & luxurious, even better than cashmere. I wondered what it was, strange name, I've just now been looking it up & the wool comes from......yes -Australia!

If anyone wants to give a treat to someone (or even yourself) buy a Geelong pullover.

End of ad. :0)
Anything with Toni Colette in is worth a watch imho.

Well, khandro, I haven’t found it at all confusing so far. Looking forward to another few episodes later :)
Haven't seen that much of her, to be honest, Patsy, but she was certainly very good in Unbelievable. And i have been meaning to watch Dream Horse in which she plays the trainer of a racehorse.
She is a terrific actress, there's a part where she is telling a lies and looks uncomfortably as though she is doing so: acting a part of someone acting - not easy to do.
Unbelievable was very good, Ken. Toni is a first class actor.
Dream horse looks good. Will watch this when I can. My OH will be interested, as he likes a little flutter on the GGs.. :-)
I plan to watch a bit of racing this afternoon, but if it appears likely that my luck's not in, i may well watch Dream Horse instead. It would kill a couple of hours:-)
Ken, look out for a horse's name with Dream, in! :-))
Already looked and there are none. Which is a tad unusual.
I watched two episodes of Pieces of Her and I couldn't care less what happens to either of them so that's it finished for me.
