The name of the TV Show?

I can recall watching a kids tv show in the late 80's or early 90's about a group of cycle couriers. I think that it was based in Manchester and starred an Irish girl in the lead role.

Can anyone remember what it was called?

I remember it!! One of them got run over by a stolen ambulance and had to have his leg amputated...

Was it Streetwise or something like that?

This bugged me, so I thought I'd put it on IMDb to see if I could find out for my own sake. I didn't remember the Irish girl, but I did remember a character that looked like Any Sirkiss (Gollum) so just on the off chance I looked him up, and whaddayouknow, it WAS him.

The programme was called "Streetwise" and was actually set in London.

Now that you mention it Postdog, I can remember Andy Serkis in the program and from looking on IMDB I can see that it was one of the first things that he did on the box, now look where he is LOTR and King Kong!

I have searched all that I can on the net and cannot find out much more about the program Streetwise.
