Did anyone watch the first episode of this four part series on Channel 4 last night? Set in 2024 at GCHQ I found it compelling watching. Great cast too. Was going to watch the rest on catch up but have decided that I will just do a weekly watch
maggie....great spot.
I watched Episode 1 this afternoon, didn't understand one word of what they were talking about, but got the feeling that this will unfold. Good cast, great potential and will binge watch the rest of the episodes tonight.
Can't see where the sex scenes will come in -;)
'Compelling watching'? We must have been watching a different programme, as this was dull, dull, dull. Laughably lame and unbelievable, with no pace, drama or jeopardy - considering the supposed threat to the country, the cast were going through the motions, and looked as bored as I was watching it.
Simon Pegg hopelessly miscast, and looked like he knew it.
// Probably one of the GCHQ nerds watching a bit of porn instead of monitoring the 'baddies' :-))//
In the Good Wife, later series, with Julianna Margulies
there are some very funny NSA episodes - the two nerds are addressed as Frick and Frack...by their pit boss
so nerdy that when anyone makes a break thro - they send a clip of baying goats
Haven't watched it but I thought the review I read had a point.
How can you inject drama into what is basically people looking at screens? Or maybe you thought they solved that.
Watched episodes 1 - 4 tonight and, having suspended my disbelief at times, am enjoying it so far. I find it adequate viewing and will definitely see it through to it's conclusion.
Those who are complaining about a lack of action do have a point. But forewarned is forearmed and i wasn't expecting 100 mph car chases, burning rubber and shoot outs on the streets of Cheltenham.
