I enjoyed it but then I like subtle observational programmes.
I don’t like Sean Bean but thought he played the part really well.
Wouldn’t give it 5 stars but definitely worth watching.
i do find it odd for people to say "a randomer or two on the internet that i don't know didnt like it therefore i'm not going to either and i'm not going to watch it"
I thought people might be less sheepy!
I will still watch the last two episodes. As Vagus alluded, there is some excellent acting in there. Sean Bean brilliantly playing a role far removed from the norm, for instance.
MissTerious, ///Each to his own though. It's got some good reviews too.///
I didn't see many good reviews from the viewers. Most said it was like watching paint dry, and I would agree with that.
And my apologies to you, Lottie. Perhaps i should have read the whole of your link?
I've just read the whole of my link and it isn't just a 'good' review. It's an excellent review. As you said, each to their own:-))
Zylaphone claims surprise at SB taking the part. I'm not surprised in the least that an actor of his capabilities would grab the chance to throw off the 'tough guy' mantle for a while and do some 'proper' acting.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. With those 2 actors I expected something good (although to me Sean Bean comes across as the same character that was in that prison drama and Tetley Tea ad) but in fact I found it so boring.
As far as a Star is Born, as well as Bradley Cooper being incredibly sexy even though he looks like he smells old and greasy I had not realised what an incredible talent Lady Gaga is, she was phenomenal in it.
Why do dramas have to draaaaag ooouuut over 4,5,6,10 episodes when they could be at least slashed in half. Too much moodiness, thinking, music, trees, sky, boring boring boring. Cut dramas down to faster paced two episodes and I might watch them. Life’s too short. I won’t be watching Marriage now and will delete my recording. Thanks all for giving me four more hours of watching something decent. (But what, I wonder?),
Bradley is probably one of my favourite actors but it's only in A Star is Born I find him sexually attractive, if you know what I mean. I can still imagine he smells greasy though - it must be a subliminal link to someone from my past :-)
