Two New Series Begin Tonight....and Another Tomorrow Night

On paper, all 3 look quite promising.
The first is 'Ridley', 8pm ITV, starring Adrian Dunbar (LOD) and Bronagh Waugh (The Fall). Dunbar's character, Alex Ridley has retired from the force and lives in seclusion following the death of his wife and daughter in a house fire. Waugh plays DI Carol Farman, once Ridley's protege. The two are re-united when Farman faces a complex murder case.
The second new series is the second season of 'The Capture', 9pm BBC 1 (Sun and Mon). If you recall the first season, DI Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) is assigned to arrest and charge Special Forces LCpl Shaun emery, whose horrific crime was seemingly captured on CCTV overlooking a bus stop. This time around, news feeds have been hacked, the media is being manipulated and Britain is under attack by an unknown perpetrator and it is Carey's job to sift her way through the entanglement of lies and solve the case.
Monday's new series is 'The Suspect', made by those responsible for LOD and starring Aidan Turner (Poldark) as a 'troubled' psychiatrist. "When he is asked to profile a killer, we start to question how deeply he has immersed himself in the criminal mind - and if he actually has a secret dark life."
Thank the TV Gods for 'catch-up' and what have you :-)
