I met Bryan in the mid 70s - he was really beautiful, not just good looking; like the young George Raft, if anyone watches films that ancient. I've been googling away but haven't found any photos that really capture this - they're all posed and he looked most beautiful when he wasn't posing.

Just going to watch this. Wish I had recorded it for posterity. I met Bryan mid 80s. Tall, sophisticated, clutching a packet of Marlboro. I always wondered why he wasn't knighted for services to music as he's still going (voice going a bit whispery now though) Him and Jerry Hall were a most glamorous couple.

It's said that in an interview George Melly asked Jagger about all the wrinkles around his eyes. He replied that they were 'laughter lines'.
