I wish people would now call him the King and not Charles. Have some respect. Nobody ever called the Queen Elizabeth. I was puzzled too by this thread.

Have heard him called worse names than Charles but won't repeat them. Why does he have to take something to the Repair Shop? Not as if he can't afford to pay for something to be repaired. Mind you, good publicity for the show.

Maggiebee the items are from Dumfries House, which was save by the intervention of the then Prince Charles. He is keen to keep traditional crafts alive hence the collaboration with the Repair Shop

Ex Army colleague of mine used to ‘walk the wire’ at Highgrove House, way back when after getting his firearms certificate.
He said they used to refer to him as ‘Chuck’.
