How nice would it be if others like him, musicians and politicians alike , would dig deep in their conscious and follow what he’s doing ?
A little bit of ‘nice’ news for a change

There might be other Prominent folk doing likewise / similar . Him going public may at least make others think about doing likewise ( if it wasn't on their minds ) and that can only be a good thing

Rents?
A lot of others like him might be doing just that and more - not everyone likes to blow their own trumpet
Question Author
Maybe Barry, as far as I’m concerned let him blow his trumpet, well done him , it doesn’t matter to me how I hear of it
I’ve always liked Sir Rod even if to be honest I’ve never been that stuck on his music.
So one is under any obligation but great to see nonetheless.
“Rents?”

He’s rented a place.
Why isn't Rostylsav fighting for his country?
Question Author
Yes Roy, he rents a house in Berkshire and has furnished it to give this Ukrainian family a roof over their heads
Typical sniping from the usual suspects

Thanks for posting Bobbi
//Rents?//

He hasn't rented his property out - he's paying the rent on another property for the family. That's how I read it anyway.

//Sir Rod Stewart has revealed he has rented and furnished a home for a family of seven Ukrainian refugees //

Do you know why he isn't fighting for his country then ,Ich?
That is correct.
If you are that bothered make some enquiries
Or go and fight yourself
I’m ignoring you now
I believe Sadio Mane, former Liverpool player, now with Bayern Munich, gives most of his earnings towards causes in his home village in Senegal, and when he was at Liverpool, the players used to take the mickey out of him because he only drove a mini. He said he didn't need anything bigger. Having been raised in absolute poverty, he couldn't neglect his own people, but wouldn't waste money anyway.
Oh : in fact the answer is in the article.
They have 5 kids.
The Sky headline could have been clearer...after all they are journalists
There are other famous people who help charities, as Barry100 said. Juan Mata gives part of his earnings to charity. Manny Paccquiao gave a lot of his winnings to causes in his native Philippines.
Sorry I can’t help myself:

“Rent for” rather than “rent out to” seems clear enough to me
We're not being invaded, Ich.
Unless you mean I should go fight the illegal dinghy invaders?
That's correct 10CS. I believe that Emmanuel Adebayor used to do similar back in the day.
He's a nice bloke, our Rod.
He's helping them out for at least a year, it was said.
