The "sixth program" was not part of the series of 5 programs (funnily enough) but was made for the RSPB and WWF, and the BBC have acquired it to show on the Iplayer, so as already was pointed out, the OP was wrong.

Look we are all going to disagree. Though he may be freelance and whatever tax etc implications that brings is he is still paid by the BBC to comment on sport. We won't call that employed fine.
