Ken Bruce’s radio quiz adapted for television. Did anyone watch the first last night? Was it any good? I’ve recorded it.

I watched it and will be watching tonights as well, I didn't realise it is on every evening. The format to begin with is different but the last two contestants standing play the pop master game to find the winner to go forward to the final. I enjoyed the programme, I even got a few right, usually I just can't recall names or songs fast enough. I think it's worth a watch but someone is bound to disagree!
It's not for me because PopMaster was the only bit of Ken's radio show that I couldn't stand!

However it seems that, while some people like it, it might possibly be over-long at one hour in length:

Thanks roopower. I’ll watch the first tonight.

Thanks Chris. I didn’t realise it’s an hour long. That does seem a bit much. I watched the new quiz hosted by historian Lucy Worsley the other night and, at an hour, that was too long. I was bored by the time it ended.
Come on, naomi, where's your staying power?
Don't forget Popmaster is probably only 40 -45 minutes long, the rest is adverts!
I would have liked it if I had known any of the answers ( all before my time). However I like Ken Bruce
I've known a few tonight, very pleased with myself, it doesn't happen often.

I failed hopelessly again, roopower. It dragged on a bit, my interest waned, so I zoomed it on to the final section, proper Popmaster, and decided that's what I'll do every day. :o)
I didn't like the TV version. I felt it was too hyped up and I hate it when contestants clap each other. Not for me, although I always listened to the radio version.
Only serves to show why it was a good radio quiz.
