I loved the Shell one with Bing singing (and in those days the best you could do to avoid ads was get up and troop across to the TV and turn the sound down until they finished - or leave the room and risk missing the restart of the programme).

A bit of trivia re. the R Whites lemonade advert, Elvis Costello's father is the man singing. I believe a young Elvis (Costello, not Presley) was also in the advert.

Elvis dad wrote and sung the song, the man in the ad was an actor, Julian Chagrin
