The long-time SNP minister and Humza Yousaf's deputy,  Shona Robison, has been accused of "completely disrespectful" conduct after she failed to show up on time to the Royal opening of Aberdeen South Harbour on behalf of the Scottish Government and failed to thank the princess for attending. Ms Robison kept the crowd waiting for 40 minutes.

Just plain rude to create such embarrassment.  Scotland deserves better.

Read  it yesterday, naomi.

Utter rudeness, whoever it is who was kept waiting. If the MSP is a Republican and does not fancy attending events where Royals are present, simply say so and don't go. The creature cited "urgent government business" as the reason for her tardiness. Frankly I cannot imagine anything that the Scottish Parish Council deals with to be that urgent that it needs the personal attention of the Deputy First Minister.

They should have started without her and refused her admission once the ceremony had begun.

complete rudeness and no need for it

NJ, "The creature cited "urgent government business" as the reason for her tardiness."

"The creature"? Really?

How come this report does not surprise me one jot.

judge: "The creature cited "urgent government business" as the reason for her tardiness." - you are too kind judge.

//Frankly I cannot imagine anything that the Scottish Parish Council deals with to be that urgent //

I can, Plod about to search their house and wanting to feel some collars 😄

All the Scots have a chip on their shoulder, the SNP types have chip on that!

"The creature"? Really?

Yes really.

This person is a minor politician. It is extremely rude to keep anybody waiting when the arrangements have obviously been made some time in advance. It is particularly rude when The Princess Royal is among the other participants.

Miss Robison can avoid such epithets by behaving a little more in keeping with her position and not being so disrespctful. As I said, best she avoids engagements which she is too busy to keep.

"It is particularly rude when The Princess Royal is among the other participants."

Because the royal family is more important than everybody else, even you?

Ah, "the creature" was late showing up to meet "the creature".

Sauce for the goose!

Question Author

Why is it sauce for the goose, maggiebee?  Princess Ann had the courtesy to arrive on time.

Given the fact that was her only official event that day, is it any wonder the Princess turnt up on time?

my post at 14:08 seems more apt than ever.

Question Author

Corby, it's called good breeding.

By "good breeding" I assume you mean privilege?  Shona Robison was elected to do a job and she was doing it.  When was any member of royalty elected?  Just free loaders.

//Given the fact that was her only official event that day, is it any wonder the Princess turnt up on time?//

Are you privy from where HRH the Princess Royal travelled in order to give the Scottish meeters and greeters the courtesy of not hanging around. ? She may have travelled on their crap train service from England. The ignorant disgusting SNP article was probably busy worried about the further revelations dicovered with regard to audits whereby their beloved EU have fined them with regard to the CAP discrepancies under Sturgeon's hands. No excuse for ignorance or rudeness. The SNP should be ashamed.

Perhaps she was "delayed" trying to make herself look presentable.    ...   Another failure then.

Her ex husband apparently went off her fairly regularly. He is credited with saying "she always came late if at all". Perhaps she prefered wee Burney?

Question Author

Maggiebee, no I don't mean privilege.  Social standing doesnt bring good breeding or good manners  - as your deputy leader has demonstrated.

Hope she, Robson, got a royal mouthful, both barrels fom the Princess - disrespectful and not the wish or ésprit of the majority of Scots! The nation should expect better - and have it from their senior ministers.

Gully for First Minister though....
