The Thylacine, also commonly known as the Tasmanian tiger or Tasmanian wolf was native to mainland Australian, New Guinea and the  Island of Tasmania. It is extinct .It is sometimes mixed up with the Tasmanian Devil Dog which is still with us,    ...   just, although it has itself been extinct in mainland Australia for about 3,500 years. If the answer given had been New Zealand I would understand   ...   but Siberia?
