in short surgery never  works - and the count down clock starts.

actually i think  he had the operation ( resurfacing) that you cant  get in England now, as um the results which were said to be so good turned out to be ..... so bad.

mine is  OK but my brudda had a vancouver I fracture  where a good post op result of re-treatment is... a zimmer frame.

Yes, time to step down Andy.  You've done us proud.  No doubt, you will still get involved with tennis coaching, etc. and have time to welcome guests at your luxury hotel up in Scotland.

I'd suggest he's a better judge on whether his body can withstand the pressure of playing or not, than Canary is, but I think this may well be his last season. He may well want to go on until the Olympics and call it quits there.

This surgery business bothers me - in "sport", performance-enhancing drugs are severely frowned on, but surgery seems OK (Raducanu's also at it) - I guess it's a fine line between remedial and performance-enhancing (even though the latter often remedies the body's shortage of a natural resource).
