Most overrated

Ok, this will probably be contentious, but what's the most overrated tv show ever? My vote is Seinfeld - it's just not funny. (BTW - please don't 50 of you rush to its defence, I know I'm in the minority...)

Lost - I just dont see why it's so fabulous. It's so unrealistic (I know its not supposed to be) and it just seems to go on forever.

I watched the first series of Desperate Housewives and just about got it - but lost the plot at the end.Is it meant to be a surreal Stepford Wives type thing?The hype is amazing.I think people just want to be hip and trendy but I bet they dont get it either.

Little Britain was innovative for the first series - Its just not funny (apart from Vicky) now in fact the humour scrapes the bottom of the barrel - (bitty,bitty - puke)

Wow ! someone else doesn't like The Office,thought I was the only one. Never watched Seinfeld so don't know about that. Love Lost and Shameless and the 1st 2 series of Little Britain,series 3 was cr@p though.The Friday Night Project is a bad show in my opinion.Tries too hard I think.Bring back So Graham Norton on Fridays,he was the best!

The League of Gentleman almost gets it, but the honour has to go to Bo Selecta, the most inane, pointless, unfunny programme ever to disgrace our screens.

I would have to say that my idea of torture would have me chained to a chair & made to watch such drivel as Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond,Desperate Housewives, Footballers Wives, Shameless & *gasp* The Simpsons (ok, I have a flameproof suit on!). Funniest cartoon ever? you are having a laugh..

All those cosmetic surgery shows get my vote too..as well as the Katie Price/Jordan fly-on-the-wall crap ~ is anyone REALLY that interested in her?

I would vote for Rosemary and Thyme in recent history as being proof that ITV a the dregs of the earth. But I must also admit I find tittybangbang about as funny as finding blood on your toilet paper. But for overrated I don't think you have to look much further than Big Brother in all its incarnations, I would prefer to have red hot hat needles poke in my eyes than watch that drivel.

Lost, Bo Selecta, The Office, Eastenders, Two pints of Lager etc, Cheers, Holby City, CSI (anything), the OC, Big Brother, i'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here, Gillian McKeith and her poo inspections, the new format Masterchef, anything at all with Gordon Ramsay in it, the whole Men and Motors selection, reality shows showing chavvy nonentities being chavvy and common, Animal Hospital, those reality shows about health inspectors, doctors, nurses, policemen etc and the vile things they have to deal with, those ridiculous programmes about car chases (more chavs) and people who feel the need to share their divorces, childcare issues, operations, mental health problems etc. with the rest of us. They are not my friends, and I don't need to see them, or 'share their pain'.

No, Ward-Minter, I certainly don't restrict myself to Playaway and the 10 o'clock News, but it's harder and harder to find much on TV that is actually entertaining, or a bit mentally stimulating, or that doesn't bore a reasonably intelligent person to tears. I watch at least two episodes/parts of most new stuff before deciding if I'm going to waste the next few weeks on it AND I try not to watch with a particularly critical eye, just with the idea that I might be entertained in some small way. This question invited opinion on over-rated television shows, which every respondent (except you) has managed to submit without making a personal comment about another person's choice.
