jules for some reason he became a hated figure, why? I think you are the same age as me going by your name so you will remember swap shop. He was lovely then and is lovely now. Why did he become a hated figure? Was it just Mr Blooby or his (awful) Sat night show years back? Maybe his bad jumpers (he now has awful shirts instead!) Anyway, he's got the last laugh eh?

sunflower, i couldn't agree more. this one always baffles me because i think he is the ultimate tv presenter.People need to get things in perspective about who they hate! I just love him and i am 37, swap shop was my very favourite programme as a kid. When you compare him to these crap presenters on now it just shows you how proffessional the man is. He still looks great too!!! You would not believe how chuffed i was when i heard he was coming back on our screens. He is the sort of all round entertainer that our telly has been missing. I know i sound like the founder member of the Noel edmonds fan club but i make no apologies for my feelings towards the great man!! Mentioning Blobby, my son who is now 14 loved mr blobby and watched his video over and over again. I now have a 2 year old and guess which video he has discovered!!!!!!!!!! I am living with Mr Blobby all over again!!!!!! Thats something! (he's still as annoying if not more so second time round just in case you wondered)

hi sunflower68, i really like him aswell, and my eldest daughter watched her mr blobby video until it wouldnt work properly anymore, she also had t-shirts and toys etc of him. my favourite gotcha of all time for me was the one with garth crooks, ( i think that was his name, the footballer). i cried so much in fits of laughter that i almost wet myself though that is another story. i was born in 69 so similar age to yourself. i didnt know he accidently killed 2 people whats that all about?

He became hated because he upset the powers at the BBC.

The media controls this country,they decide the way people think,what they eat,and who they like.

Noel Edmonds crossed them,so he had to be destroyed,just like Anthea Turner.

It wasn't 2 people, just one that died, a 26year old man, when a stunt on Noels late late breakfast show went wrong. It was during rehearsals that the bungee stunt he was doing, called whirly wheels, went wrong. not sure of the ins and outs of the actual accident but the show was immediatly pulled. I doubt it had anything to do with that because later Noel was back and rse he had huge sucesss with noels house party.I think people just like to slate anyone who's sucessful;. he did leave the BBC under a cloud though when his show was axed. Thats no reason for the public to hate him though!

Smallvilleck that is quite a statement there! As Jules1968 says one man was killed, strangely Noel was not the assassin there. How daft though that the public get sucked into all the media ********. I do believe the BBC is very controlling over what we watch and think, great point mightyWBA>
