Does anyone know the music used over the opening credits of the brilliant Rob Brydon/ Steve Coogan one off, The Cruise of the Gods. BBC 2, 23 December. It feels 70's and upbeat and the chorus goes 'You're a star, you're a star..' and one verse mentions a black sedan and a one man band.

The best I can do is say that it was the theme music for New Faces, which was a talent show on ITV from 1973-78 which gave Lenny Henry and Victoria Wood their big break, though on the debit side you have Jim Davidson. Not sure, but I have a feeling it was written by Tony Hatch who was a regular judge on the programme. One more thing... PURITY!
