You and me, me and you lots to see lots to do :-)

Hi there -

I remember it very well. It was called YOU AND ME, and it was produced by BBC schools.

The two characters you mention were called Cosmo and Dibs (they were not bears or hippos or anything like that - they were simply Cosmo and Dibs.)

They lasted for eleven years in the series. The one with the gruff Geordie accent was the brown one, Cosmo, and was puppeteered and voiced by Frances Kay; the other one, with a sort-of-London-sort-of-soppy voice was the yellow one, Dibs, who was puppeteered and voiced by me, Francis Wright. (It was pure coincidence that the production cast two performers with the same first name.)

We had a huge amount of fun doing the programmes over the years - they were among the best-written pre-school things that there have ever been.

Very glad you remember them, glad you enjoyed them.

Thanks for saying so!
