The main plotline was the hearing for Kim Campbell's accusation of Lewis for assault. Eventually they found in her favour but only suspended him for 15 days, which led to Kim resigning.
Jack later sent a letter to all parents asking for their support in getting Lewis excluded on appeal. Lewis and his mum stormed into Jack's office, demanding Lewis's re-instatement, but when Jack said he knew that Lewis's mum had received 6,000 in an insurance scam and that the press would find out, she soon changed her mind, much to her son's disgust.
Later, most of the staff meet in the pub along with the female school inspector, who is waiting for Jack to turn up. Steph tswaps b1tchy words with her then storms off. Jack, meanwhile, is in his office getting attacked by Lewis, who first knocks him out then, when he comes round, douses him and most of the office in petrol. He is just about to torch Jack when his burning rag is blasted with a fire extinguisher, wielded by Steph, who has arrived in the nick of time. Jack takes the opportunity to fell Lewis with a punch, and Jack and Steph embrace and go off to the pub. They arrive still all touchy-feely which leads to the inspector storming off.
Meanwhile the court case finds Dante guilty of causing death by dangerous driving but (typical judge) he is given an 18-month suspended sentence.
The episode (and series) ends with a distraught Lorna (Laura?) Clarkson throwing her wedding ring into the canal. She then steps forward as if to throw herself in as well, but the screen fades to black leaving us on a cliffhanger.
Will that do? :-)

And the bit about Jill 1/2 penny's daughters give her the go-ahead with Tom - and Lorna sends them both letters to tell them she forgives them, and she's really happy, or at least going to be - so they agree to be together - imagine how totally guilty they would feel is she really has jumped in the water!
