I turned it on and they were swapping the boxes round half way through the show!

I too looked away and missed it .but it seemed that somehow the box was knocked to the floor not sure how but massimo admitted that he saw that it was a red number but not the figure written in it but they decided it was fairer to re distribute the remaining boxes .

I Just looked in TV magazine and noticed its on tomorrow evening at 6 10 on More4 so maybe its the Saturday programme being re shown ,if it is i will watch it more carefully and report back to you

I think when a low numbered box was opened, someone threw their arms up to celebrate, and knocked their box - the seal must have come off somehow and the box opened. The boxes were taken away and the amounts inside were changed, and then given back to the people I think. As pooks said, it's repeated tomorrow, at least I assume it's todays that is repeated then.

I dont think it actually showed what happened, but I also assumed the same as zipadeedodah

It did not show the box falling on the floor - you could tell the filming was edited and all the floor staff in a bit of a panic, and then as other ABers said they then swapped the remaining boxes again....

Tonyted how would that have hindered him at all? The boxes were random in both cases, I cannot see how this would have changed the outcome

well i watched the re run on more 4 and it didnt actually show you how it happened just that the box landed on the floor and massim saw it was a red number but they all kept the same box but the number inside was altered ass massimo had the box number 6 both before AND after

So did it hinder him?

i doubt it as it is a game of luck but i admit that his luck seemed to change after th swap xx Linds

it did seem to change his luck but i guess this cant be anyones fault as it is all random. but i bet he will be thinking for the rest of his life "if only the boxes werent changed". the independent adjudicator must be the only one who knew what was in his box beforehand and must know if it was higher or lower. he might have even had 250,000!!
