Do you ever start watching a film that is complete crap but watch it all way through 'in case something good happens' even though you know for a fact it wont? or is it just me?

Last night i sat and watched Doom with The Rock, one of the crappiest films I have seen in a long time but didnt switch off 'just in case' oh and there was the small reason of The Rock looking really good ;)

Hiya Pixi!

Yes Open Water! My God it was just total pants! yet I carried on watching just in case....
Solaris ...

and Donnie Darko

Yer Dish Dogs. Dont even ask
Yup, I watched Solaris all the way through. And, more recently, The Family Stone... makes me whince at the thought of it.

In fact, all movies I rent I watch them all. I don't know why, but I don't think I can pass comment on them unless I do watch them all....
Question Author
hi everyone, glad its not just me. I do the same with books too unless they are really really crappy.

hi wingy, thanks for the tip on open water,i was in 2 minds whether to watch it or not

Naz - Donnie Darko is superb. No returns. ;)

I always feel like a Philistine when i say this, but I hated Godfather II and just wanted to go to sleep, but kept on til ten end. Wished I never had.

I watched Battlefield Earth all the way through, I knew it was bad but wanted to see just how bad! What was Travolta thinking?
Pixi glad to be of service, it really is a crap film! My sister recommended it to me, hence I don't listen to her anymore! She's into scuba diving and all that and liking bad films obviously!
Ta Ta :o)
I think most of them are on FilmFour at the moment, which explains why it is now a free channel. Have to agree with Solaris.
thank god i am not alone. I watched Ladies in Lavender last night on sky movies didn't finish until twenty to two in the morning and i kept saying 5 more mins then i'm turning it off but no kept watching right till the end, what junk!!!
I desperately tried with 'The Matrix' but failed..I fell asleep (both times) around half way through.

I went off and did the washing up towards the end of Donnie Darko.
Once upon a time in Mexico..............jeez that were *****, i worst movie i saw at the cinema.

I like to think im quite a fan of crap movies, but ones that have something to cling onto, some movies are just so boring and badly made that they are actually ass.
alien vs predator.........total sh1te
Im with wingnut, Open water. What a waste of time. Thankfully its only an hour long but Id rather had done ironing (anyone who knows me knows how much i hate ironing)
Charlie's Angels, Chralie's Angles 2, Lord of the Rings trilogy, that Robocop one on C5 last night
I assume Octavius and OBonio saw the remake of Solaris and not Andrei Tarkovsky's original (around 1970 I think). Just another example of Hollywood taking a half-decent film and screwing it up. check out http://www.imdb.com and read the reviews.
reinganum, yes it was the remake with George Clooney. I've not seen the original but I doubt my local DVD shop has it in anyway.
Ocean's Twelve - yawnola!!!
The Swimmer!!! Utter Boll***s!
Another vote here for Battlefield Earth. Also:
- Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (don't ask; I had lost a bet and had to watch)
- Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills (gets the award for the most repulsive use of Ed Begley, Jr.)
- Prospero's Books (Peter Greenaway is so hit-or-miss. Guess which this was.)

Oh, there are so many more . . .
