When I was young, my mates and I wnt to see film, more or less because we knew what they would be about - eg Horror, comedy etc. If we were frightened then it was our own fault but we really still enjoyed them. What is it with the 'contains mild language' or 'contains one use of strong language warnings' on TV these days. If there was one which said 'you will be scared sh~tless' then I'd be there like a shot !!

advice to parents; so you can't come out saying you were shocked and devastated and sue the management.

Well MY parents never got advice !! We decided what films we wanted to see - if they upset us it was OUR problem - were never given warnings - like 'one occurance of bad language' - OMG will that cause your children to go 'off the rails'?

By the way, thanks Dot
My favourite is 'contains one scene of mild peril'. They may as well say 'contains one scene that might be exciting'.
