has anyone noticed that there is a tragic or overbearing father link with alot of the lost characters.jack , sawyer, kate, sun, locke.desmond and his ex's father. and if i remember rightly hurley's dad died of a heart attack soon after hurley had his lottery win.

I hadn't noticed but dammit you're right! Jin, too, had daddy issues. And Clare's baby has father issues. Maybe you're on to something. . . .

been trying to work out why the others wanted jack, sawyer and kate rather than any other survivors but i'm stumped and how did they know their full names especially as no-one knows sawyers real name.passenger list or connection to outside world where names have been released maybe?
Hmm...now you've got me thinking....

I thought maybe they wanted Jack, Sawyer and Kate because they seem to have a lot of power amongst their group (So does *****, but he's got the whole 'torture' thing covered, so why would they want him??)

But maybe there is a link between the outside world and why they want them.... Henry Gale referred to The Others as being the 'good' guys. Maybe he's telling the truth.

What's got me confused also, is this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/
Look at how many episodes Libby (Cynthia Watros) has been in. . . .
For some reason that blanked out S a y i d 's name.... not sure why
Question Author
oh yeah i see what you mean.that's very odd. someone on here or another website thought that she works for the dharma institute and that she set desmond up with boat so that he ended up on the island away from his love perhaps with her father involved somehow.
Question Author
also maybe they didn't want s a y i d because they thought he would be a danger to them because kate and sawyer are hardly good people because they've both killed someone.
That is strange about Libby . To have been in that many she would have had to have been in the first series surely or (I didn't check ) does that include series 3? So if it was the first series maybe she was one of the characters hovering in the background? We still don't know why she was in the hospital same time as Hurley do we?
Question Author
no we don't know much about her at all do we.she's one of the few characters that we don't even know their surname, why was she in australia and the most puzzling thing why is her appearance so different everytime we see her in a flashback?
I've just bought season one today on DVD and my boyfriend (who hasn't seen it yet!) and I are going start watching tonight when I get home from work. I'm keeping an eye out for Libby in every episode.

I doubt the IMDB includes season 3, because that wouldn't explain why she's in almost as many episodes as Jack, Kate, Hurley etc. I'll bet she's hovering in the backgrounds.... What was funny was after she got shot, someone at work said to me 'now what was the point of her? Why was she in Hurley's story if they were just going to kill her off?" Sounds like there's more to Libby than we first realized.

I think Season 3 starts in America this week.
Question Author
i think maybe a mistake on that website.i looked on a different one and it lists libby as being in something like 17 episodes which sounds about right.i didn't notice straight away but after watching last weeks episodes again i noticed that just before the others started shooting poison darts at kate, sawyer and jack the whispering voices in background where saying elizabeth over and over....the plot thickens!!!
