I saw that but missed the beginning, any idea why the black chap seemed so wasted? Or was he wasted?

No, later on he explained that he was heavily into drugs and alcohol for a long time, but he didn't talk about the reports of Aids that were in the British press, so I'm not sure about that side of it - he just sounded like he was exhausted, but I presume years of drug and alcohol abuse will probably do that to a person. Still got a sense of humour and a wicked glint in his eye tho! Would love to see them all in action again on the small screen, so if anyone has any info on that, please share!!
Granada Plus on satellite started screening the first couple of series a couple of years ago, I think they might still be screening a later series at the moment. You can't beat the first series though, great songs 'Starmaker', Desdemona', 'I Still Believe In Me', 'Life Is A Celebration' and 'Hi-Fidelity'. Hearing them sing them again made me wanna cry too.
May not be much help but I've just come back from two weeks in Italy where it's screened twice daily on Canal Jimmy. This channel is available on Italy's version of Sky Digital - "D+". It's broadcast in English and Italian. It's called "Saronno Famoso" or something like that (translates as "They will be famous" I think).
