On match of the day a few years back, the goal of the month music was 'Pipeline' by the Chantay's, but i don't know if it was this version or a cover. Does anyone know if it was a cover?, If so who did the cover?

Bruce Johnston did a cover version in the seventies if thats any help.

The Covers Project ( http://www.coversproject.com ) also lists versions by Anthrax, Johnny Thunders, Dick Dale, Ventures, California Guitar Trio, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Agent Orange. All pretty much the artists you would *expect* to do that song, really. Hope this helps.
