Have returned from holiday and realise that I still need help with the following questions
Q111 If Help and Abbey Road are 66 and Revolver and Let it Be 72,then what is Sgt Pepper
Q113 England lost 4-1 in 1871,Canada by the same margin 5 years later,Scotland were defeated 2-0 in 1887,whilst Ireland lost 3-0 in 1899,1901 and 1903.In more recent times the USA lost 5-0 in 1995 and Italy by the same score in 2000.In the same context who won 5-0 in 2003?
Q117 Which state of around 3000 square kilometres in the Heavenly mountain area is sandwiched between Russia,Afghanistan,Pakistan and China and has Perla as its capital?
Q119 Casanova,Romeo & Juliet,Cromwell,Dracula,Shakespeare,Cyrano de Bergerac,Gilbert & Sullivan,Nicholas & Alexandra,Mozart,Gandhi,Anne Boleyn,Cleopatra,Don Juan,Joan of Arc,Pu Yi,Hamlet,Henry V and Spartacus.We are looking for a very specific connection between that lot ?

You're welcome. I was working on 117 for you but didn't get anywhere. I can tell you the countries that are not the answer and perhaps narrow the search for you:
Tajikistan, Uzbi??stan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Andhra Pradesh, Kalkigaur.

Q117 I don't think this is a real place,as I cannot find Perla or the Heavenly mountain area

Nor can I, but thought with all the unrest in that area - Afghanistan, Pakistan et al that perhaps names had been changed. Will keep hunting later. I usually have time when all you lot are sleeping as I'm 5 hours behind. During the day I work from home so am only on the site sporadically.

That's about as far as I've gotten tonight. I think the answer is probably in a Chinese story. Sorry I couldn't help you crack it.

Re Q111. I certainly wouldn't have known about the stamps.
Q119. I checked movies, but was thrown by the fact that there wasn't a movie called "Shakespeare," but just "Shakespeare in Love." So gave up on the movie hunt.
As for Q117 - Never in a million years. My library doesn't even stock his works. (I just checked via internet).
I look forward to the next challenge from The Challenge.

I tried to give you a clue on 111 last month when I said I wouldn't 'post' an answer (or words to that effect). Sorry if you didn't get it!

As there are so few teams doing the challenge please ask for clues rather than the answer as if so many of the harder answers are published on the Internet for all to see we will end up with no entries and all Ian's good work will go to waste.

Perhaps ontarioice would like to join your (or my) team - the questions are easily sent by email.

Yes thank you the penny did finally drop on Q111,but not until the Friday evening
I will continue to ask for clues and hope that ontariorice and others,including yourself,will continue to supply them
