hurt or cold or British?
1 Answers
Could anyone tell me what "hurt or cold or British" means in the following passage taken from Goldsmith's book?
"Seward Jr.: After they divorced, Mon was completely depressed. I don't think she really acknowledged the fact that they'd gotten a divorce. I can't tell you why she acted the way she did, whether she was hurt or cold or British somewhere in that triangle. I've resented it all my life, I think more than anyone else has. I feel she doesn't have a moral backbone. "
