following on from netibizas post (colours and fonts) would everyone prefer ED to change it back the way it was, i know i certainly would, but just wondered how all the other AB'rs would vote.

Well I shall have to sit on the fence here ! Before they made the changes I couldn't do any colours,fonts ,bold,italics or otherwise because I am running Firefox as opposed to Internet Explorer.But now I can ! No colours of course but italics,bold,underlining etc.I find this easier and felt left out before !! Thanks to nice people on here I can now do all these fancy fiddly bits so I am happy with how it is at the moment.

ummmm, no, i'm not talking about subsections, ages ago (can't remember when!) there used to be a box that came up when anyone posted or replied that you could just highlight to get bold,italics,underline etc plus change to all different colours , it was so easy to do it,
but thats only my opinion, that's why i asked if anybody would prefer it the old way, :-)

allotment10 - I think you should have a rethink and amend your Q , at present most of what is concerning AB'ers is about sub sections. I am not suggesting you are wrong but there are people like me who sometimes accept what is written and do not think it through before putting to words !

hard@it, i see your point, thats why i put colours and fonts in brackets, i thought people would understand that was what i was talking about, think the only ones on here who would remember the other way (for the colours & fonts) would be all us old users,

Oh dear, I've just switched to Firefox and didn't realise that we can't do all the fonts and colours. well in that case, I'm happy to stay as we are., although it is bothersome.

The new fonts system doesn't really bother me, even though it does take slightly longer - but patience is a virtue!

It would be nice to have colours back again though Ed!

Oh we can do italics with the use of the < and the > but it was brill the old way and alot quicker and it was possible to do that whilst legally over the limit too, whereas now you have to stay sober grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

shaneystar2 - did the tags not work using firefox either? I know the menu above the answer box wasn't there, but the html tags should work whatever browser you use surely.

So, in conclusion, I'm not bothered at all, since I couldn't use the colours etc anyway.

i loved it when we had colours and bold etc..... Some abers were known for their use of colour which was nice and i always like to reply to a poster using bold to highlight their name. I have to say, i NEVER use the preview option which they replaced it with, as it seems a little pointless to me. I suppose you could argue that the use of colour is pointless as well but i liked the individulality it gave to certain posts. Bring it back is my opinion anyway, not that its worth a jot!
