Jane Mangal was played by Annie Jones. Do you remember she underwent a bit of a transformation from a real plain Jane to a Neighbours babe? She left to study in Queensland because she was super-intelligent.

I remember Annie Jones very well! It was so obvious that behind the glasses and dull hairstyle was a beautiful looking young woman, and it was only a matter of time before the script-writers ditched the dumpy style for the well-worn "My God Miss Jones, you're beautiful!" ugly duckling / beautiful swan interface. I always thought the same thing happened th Kelly Brook when her exit from 'The Big Breakfast' meant she could wear adult make-up and cease wearing that vast array of cardies they used to try (and fail!) to disguise one of the most beautiful women in television.
