There was a pop / rock show on TV in the 1960s called Ready Steady Go. Could that be it ?

It had a theme tune called 5 4 3 2 1.

I am old enough to remember watching it.

I think it was later than that because my friend (late twenties) remembers watching it or something similar
Do you mean 3,2,1 The quiz show with Dusty Bin?

No it wasn't 321
when do you think it was on roughly?
Question Author
Approximately 20 years ago?
Sorry if this sounds rude, 'cos I don't mean to be, but could your friend be thinking of the advert for the (ex?) chocolate bar '54321'? It also had a song with it, that I'm ashamed to say I remember the words to (I have a half-minute attention span - adverts are all I can remember)!
Or maybe (s)he's thinking of a show which had some kind of countdown as part of it, and that's the main bit she remembers?
Sorry, no help at all, I'm sure - good luck!!

No it was a TV programme, not an advert, i think it must have had that theme tune rather than actually being called 54321
