I am looking for a serie which is set in the midlands about a man whose companion taking off with his girlfriend to Spain (with investers money) he's alone with all the hassles fighting bankruptcy and the local crook (Gavin Richards,Terry EE) and manages to sort it out it ran in the beginning of the 90's 92-93 I can't find anything on the www who can help me? greets Joe

Series is both singular and plural. But anyway, that aside, I think the series you're looking for is "Kinsey", it ran for two series in 1991 and 1992 in the 9.30 slot after the news, and starred Leigh Lawson.
