Unfunniest man ever? Just watched the second half of happy hour and didn't manage to even crack a smile once - and I laugh at most things! Anyone agree or is there someone out there who thought it was good? (you may wonder why I continued to watch such a s**t programme - one of my mates was in the audience and I wanted to see if I could see her - and I did - several times!)

I don't find him the least bit funny either, only time i've really seen him was on Hell's Kitchen and he annoyed me on tht so switched over when he came on.
his voice irritates me, why is he even on tv?

crass, rude. ignorant, loud, cocky, arrogant, sh$t interviewer, what a waste of a good slot on SATURDAY NIGHT t.v : )
I didn't watch because I too find him very unfunny! He irritated me so much in Hells Kitchen too, and I avoid anything with him in. Couldn't believe he got his own show at that time on a Saturday night!

Crappy Hour is more suitable I think...
well....I have to disagree ! I didnt see last nights show but personally i love the pub landlord.
I think the term 'One Trick Pony' sums him up.
awful sheer awful
so unfunny why oh why does he merit
any primetime slot never mind on a sat nite
couldn't watch him in hell's kitchen too

caz x
Some of it was funny, but he does milk it rather.

Maybe a late night slot so those who like him could watch him.

Now here's an idea - give his prime time slot to Antony Cotton! Yeeeaaah!
I watched the first 15 minutes and had to switch it off. All he did for the entire first part of the show was slag off members of his audience and do an impression of a monkey. I think one-trick pony is an exaggeration, that would suggest he can at least do one thing well, which I have yet to find.
never been a fan and just think there are so many more worthy comedians that could take a prime time slot on a saturday night! One trick pony says it all!
well seeing as nobody apart from me appears to like him....why did you all start watching it ?
I didnt, i just havent liked him when i have watched him.
i agree with julie, i always thought he was good as the pub landlord and thought this might be similar? God how wrong can you be? And apart from that..............nowt else on.
Er... I liked it, particularly the fact that during the interviews, whenever the celebrity started plugging their latest film/book/ice show, he just grunted in boredom until they stopped.

Could it be, I don't know, ironic or something?
I think Al Murray is extremely funny - I saw him once with Harry Hill's Caterers (covers band) in Putney, and he's sharp-witted, personable and a rather good drummer. And I love his "Pub Landlord" stand up routine in its proper context .
However, I saw some of his show last Saturday, and it was excruciating. Why attempt to transpose that character into a chat show format? A black-hearted Saturday night, post-pub attempt at "The Comedy of Embarrassment" I suppose. Well it's not intrinsically funny ITV...or Al!
