Wow, does anyone disagree it was a fab start to series two?

I love this show , it's one of the best shows on tv at the moment. The one liners from Gene crack me up. My dad was a policeman in the seventies and said that it's pretty accurate. Women were not respected and things weren't always by the book by some officers. This series just gets better and better. Did you watch the second episode on BBC4 ? I couldn't wait until next week so had to watch it and I wasn't disappointed. I was reading though that it won't be spun out like Lost , it has a definite ending and the actor who plays Sam knew from the start what that ending would be. Hope it's a good one but I must admit that I will be sorry to see this show go. Still , like all good shows , it's better if it leaves on a high.

I think it's a brilliant series. I too watched both episodes last weeks, which means that this week I can watch episode 2 again, followed by number 3! I have read that this is definitely the final series, it will all be resolved by the end, which I suppose is better than dragging it on for 7 series and everyone getting board by series 4! I have also read though that the Americans are making their own version, which will run for 60 episodes.

I read that there was an ending filmed for the first series, but it was scrapped when they decided it would be better to run a second series.

Sad as I am, it's the highlight of my week :o)

It's a must-see for me, but episode two was too PC (pardon the pun) .
Think about it; a black copper, in plain clothes, with a gun, in 1973 and nobody called him Sambo? Give over!

A bit late on this one but, apparently although we will find out how Sam got to 1973, and hence the end of the series a spin off is being made with Gene in called Ashes to Ashes.
