does anybody know why five cut out bits of fridays episode? i watched the episode on youtube and ther was more to te episode like the slient night part there was :- amanda and peter opening the door to leah and dan, ric and matilda playing, lucas a nd belle kissing infront of drew etc. and there was a bit before that were brad and sally are in the school helping pack everything away, then they kiss becuse brad points out there is misolto above them, that is when the music starts. And finally after the episode there was a special tribute video to sally. can anybody explain why five cut all of it out? thnks

The Seven Network exports the programme to over 160 countries. Each of those countries will probably allocate the programme to a half-hour slot but the amount of advertising in that slot will vary from country to country. UK terrestrial broadcasters are allowed a maximum of 8 minutes per hour advertising at peak times, so allowing for 4 minutes of advertising plus 1 minute of trailers in a half hour slot, Network Seven will supply Five with a 25-minute 'edit'.
However, if the BBC was to take over showing the programme, there'd be no advertising and perhaps 3 minutes of trailers, so they'd get a 27-minute edit. (If the programme was to be shown in a half-hour slot in the USA, the producers might have to work out how to cut the show down to an 18 minute edit!).
So it seems likely that the version on YouTube was from a country which has very few commercials (or possibly none at all).
The production company welcome queries from viewers, so you could ask them about the different versions of the programme which are made available to different broadcasters:
