Hi there. Not much to go on here but I'm sure someone somewhere can fathom it out. He was a guest on BBC Breakfast over the last few days. He has written a book which was so weird even Bill Bailey thought it was weird. He is from the North East of England and appeared in Spender, and amongst other things, was a presenter of a childrens TV show. My parents caught the end of the interview so the details are a bit patchy. Can anyone identify him???

Now that must be a weird book then. Sorry I can't help directly but I can give you this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098913/ which is the IMDB page with all the details of the Spender series...maybe with the list of cast it will ring a bell?

Thanks SFT42 but I've tried that (always my first port of call for actor questions) but they didn't recognise any of the names and there weren't many pictures.
I didn't see the interview myself, but I had a look through the Spender cast and the BBC Breakfast site, and you're thinking of Mickey Hutton, who used to present Hangar 17 on Children's BBC many moons ago.

Thats great waterwolf. I think this could be the right one. Looking at the BBC Breakfast site I'm wondering if they're getting the interviews with Mickey Hutton and David Mitchell mixed up?
Waterwolf is correct i saw part of the interview it was Mickey Hutton he now has short hair were back in the old days he had long hair. They showed 2 clips 1 was from Spender and the other i think was from Hangar 17.He also mentioned that he use to be in Jimmy Nails band.
