I won't as i don't like that type of music and to be honest i thought the market was already saturated with it, but if Cowell is backing him maybe there is some mileage in the genre. I didn't think the record deal was part of it but i bet the guy has to pay his �100.000 up front to book the recording studio lol

The whole thing made me cringe. Take out Shrek and you were left with 2 little brats, some breakdancers, 2 jugglers and a bloke with a monkey. Pier's nationwide are crying out for that sort of talent....

Not me.
No offence to the guy as he can obviously sing but you could see the glint in Cowells eyes as he thought "Ker-ching!" He'll make some money outta the guy and then he'll fall by the wayside just like all the others......and opera is a tough genre isn't it......never any original material and once you've heard one singer they all sound pretty much the same (to most of us anyway).
Good luck to the fella, i hope he rides the wave while it lasts but it won't be for very long. Simon says he'll record next week purely because he know he needs the show to sell the records....if he really believed in the guy he'd release it in a few months when its all died down to see whether people genuinely liked him or are just caught up in the silly show
