Is it true that Catherine Tate is to be the Doctors new assistant?

I like Catherine Tate but I don't think she works as the assistant. In the one off she did, she was ok but all her characters came shining through from her Sketch show in her character Donna. Plus I always liked that the assistants were young and pretty like Billie of Freema and they always loved the Doctor... but Catherine Tate isn't that pretty really! The Doctor wouldn't fall in love with her.. (not because of her looks. Because Donna is so different)

OH MY GOD! Really???????? I am soooooooo jealous! Please take a pic and send it to me! I love him! I find him soooo sexy... especially as the Doctor.. My friends little boys got me hooked on the program.. and me and my friend both fancy him. Everytime I make a friend watch it, they end up fancying him.. coz he is so cool! Lol

i think the BBC are making a really big mistake on doing this !!! Cathrine Tate can only shout, not act. After the christmas special i think it will put people of off watching it. I wont enjoy it as much with her in.

I completely agree Wildchild! As much as I like her and find her funny, she doesn't fit the part and I LOVE Doctor Who and I know it will put me off the program.

I agree with you Wildchild, I was really dissappointed with the christmas special, I cant see myself watching Dr Who with her in it , I say bring back someone like Rose or Martha.
