I know it has a slightly different family network, but watching this now for the first time it is EXACTLY the same as "My Family". It is even the same house (ish).

And as much as I like Rodney from Only Fools and Horses, this show really sucks!!!

i watched a re-run of my family at 7.30 and then started watching after you'vew gone and realised it is rubbish in comparison, so my garndson and are watching ratatouille on dvd, quite amusing and we need cheering up!

Watch any sitcom, and you'll find the same basic format within all of them - out-of-touch dad trying to keep order and failing, concerned mum who almost always has the answers, if only they'd let her, teenage daughter twittering and flapping, little brother getting into scrapes and pulling stunts. There's sometimes an older brother too, who's a bit of a egotist.

My Family, Dad's Army, The Young Ones - they've all got them.
