Is it me or is anyone else sick to the back teeth of Fiona - mother teresa- phillips and the whole "finding Neema" farce on GMTV this week? I think it smacks of a bit of damage limitation and makes a mockery of the people who work tirelessly day-in and day-out to better the lives of those less fortunate than the aforementioned Ms Phillips. Her smug gob had me screaming at the telly this morning. To see her "presenting" (her words, not mine) wheelchairs to polio victims made me so angry. These are the people who robbed the nation blind in there "competions" and yet the wheelchairs were donated by another charity - not by them! It'll be Dermot Murnaghan for me tomorrow morning. ( I wish!!)

And wasnt her outfit vile yesterday
I think its lovely that they're spending all this money on the African kids and filming out there. I wonder how many British viewers were ripped off to get it.
GMTV is the most patronising television programme i have ever witnessed. They just big up everyone who appears on the show. I mean Kerry Katona for gods sake!!!!
I hate GMTV. If it isnt some sycophantic drivel about a celebrity who is in the studio then it is a shocking scandal revolving around the bi-weekly binge drinking epidemic or, if it is the alternating week then obesity. But much to my aggravation the wife prefers it to the BBC! And dont get me started on Katona.

The other morning there was a mum feeling sorry for herself because she was bored and didnt meet other adults. It was as if she had never considered leaving the house during the day! And who selected this one woman for the studio interview? No doubt it was a friend of someone behind the cameras.

Now, the whole Fiona thing riles me a bit. Fine to highlight the issues, but to send Fiona and a film crew out there must have cost a few bob (esp. with her salary and expenses) which would have been better spent on something for the village and its people.
