windows XP start up screen.....

hi,im no pc expert,but i no enough to get by,my daughter was on my laptop,and when i came to use it again,i fired it up and the start icon is at the top right hand side,and all the task bar icons are at the bottom right of the screen in box,about 2" square,with the date,time,then the norton icon just above it,so it basically looks like a vertical margin on the right hand side of the screen,it still works properly,but it is annoying,ive tried settings,control panel,app/themes,but no joy,any help would be appreciated....thanks bembo67 {Andy}

Left click on the bar and while holding down the left button, move it where you want it.

Put yours cursor towards the top of the tool bar and drag it
- it isnt a task I have yet mastered easily but that is how you do it
