When I try to start windows, its starts up fully but after about 30 seconds it goes to the blue stop screen with the error code 0x0000007e. It doesn't matter which mode I try to start in (safe mode, normal, etc) either the same will happen or it will reset without starting windows. I have BartPE so I can get to the hard drive without Windows, but I can't move the files to a different drive. I'd like to get it working without re-installing windows. I've tried effecting a repair through the windows repair console but it says everything is okay.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

you could try an over the top instalation,
you need to start your machine with your windows boot disc - when you get to the drive partitions section, install windows in to its old location and it will give you the oppertunity to save your files do this and you will keep all of your inslalled programs and files so when windows starts again every thing will still be there except for the error

hope this helps
