The series has been pulled, due to a sharp drop in viewing figures. According to the daily papers, the Roayl Navy are none too please, having extended considerable time anc co-operation to assist in the making of the series. What usually happens to prime time series that don't hack it with the viewers, is that they finish their run on a midweek graveyard slot, so keep an eye on the TV listings.
I hadn't realised it had been pulled . Mind you I was mainly watching to see if the gorgeous Emily Corrie from As If was in it regularly.
Bengunn - from ITV's duty office "Thank you for your email. Despite all of our promotional support, Making Waves did not perform as well as expected - hence the removal of the series from the schedules. As a commercial network it is sometimes necessary to take such decisions in order to maximise the performance of the schedule as a whole. It is anticipated that the balance of the series will be rescheduled at a later date. We can only apologise for the changes and will ensure that your concerns are highlighted to ITV controllers via our daily report to the company. Duty Office - jh"

Many thanks for the answers, at least we can hope to catch the rest sometime. Ok, it was not perfect, but it was not that bad, compared to some of the garbage that gets shown.
I think making waves was a brilliant series which I really enjoyed, why did it get pulled off the schedule with no explanation as to why debi
To be honest, the show was "gash" (naff storyline, sterotype characters, and terrible acting) The only reason I watched it is because I'm ex-Navy, and it brought back some memories.
So it was pulled because of lower viewing figures than desired. Ok fair enough, except, are we really to believe that what has been shown as replacements at no notice are really pulling in higher figures. Something strange here I think
I agree - more of Emily Corrie please and less of Emily Hamilton next time.
