You'll pay the price at the time you signed, which sounds rather obvious because it is. I am paying �37 per month for Virgin L broadband + cable tv + telephone. In a year or so this will seem expensive, but it is a contract I entered into, that's the way it goes.

Cant remember how long I'va had it but I am sure it started at 20-25 quid - was thinking thats quite a lot of an increase.

We pay the same as you do for Virgin. Even then, it is a bit much for the channels you get.
All repeats.
When I first subscribed it was Telewest and cost �9.99. That covered the whole package which included all the film and sport channels.
Inflation!!

Funnygirl - I am a serial channel hopper - I never watch any program for more than 5 mins - I NEVER watch a film from front to back I just watch in in whatever order i 'hop' to.

Just realised I should be working and I have a serious AB addiction so really dont want to pay nearly 500 per year - could pay for a Xmas AB party dont cha think

We pay �55 per month for two sky+ boxes.Worth every penny.

cruella, I used to have separate Telewest phone and broadband, they just saved me a bit of money by rolling it up into "3 for 37" and I got cable chucked in, a complete waste of time because I never watch cable. Once the grand prix season starts I will rarely stray away from ITV1 !

Does anybody watch cable? Which are the good channels?

We currently pay �90 a month for Sky, they charge us an extra �35 a month for having a line with no box plugged in! Thats because the box is broken and they havent replaced it! So we plugged in a virgin media box and my fella told them to stop charging us, we just have to hope they do!

I pay �26 a month for two packages and the Internet. Not bad really. But having 200 channels still have trouble some evenings finding something to watch. When my son has moved out I will probably let it go.
They keep trying to sell me sky sports and films but I don't watch sports and any films I want to watch I will buy but they keep trying.

When we first started with sky it was 16.99 per month.My how it's gone up since those times.

Yes Garner thats the price you had to pay for the basic package wasnt it - then it didnt seem much more to add the movies & sport - Now anything interesting in sport or new in movies you have to pay even more. riiiip off.

Wiggal - blimey 90.00 per month - thats an awful lot for entertainment - I think my first mortgage was about that

I pay Sky about �40 a month for Sky Plus downstairs, another box in the bedroom, their top broadband package and free evening and weekend phone calls.

BT used to have �50 a month off me for phone and broadband alone. Admittedly, I don't have sports or movies which makes one hell of a difference, Sports is �16 a month on its own!!!

We cancelled Sky ages ago because of all the repeats we now just get all the free channels and they are more than enough.

I was paying �29.00 per month for my broadband and phone line with virgin and then paying �19.00 per month for my sky (used to pay �43.00 but got rid as i never watched movies or sports)

Last week i discovered that for �30.00 i can have broadband , phoneline and tv package for �1.00 more than i was paying for the both with virgin! Also being a virgin customer i got a sim card for my mobile which gives me 300 mins and 300 texts per month for a tenner! Im more than happy to have cancelled my sky! !

Lol quoi, it is alot, and I didnt realise how much it was til recently! My fella also used to pay for his mums sky, even though he didnt live there, aslong as she made him lunch on a friday when he worked local to where she lived! He then left working there and still paid!

We also pay around �65 on top of that a month to virgin for our phone and internet!
