80s tv mini-series

Anyone know the name of this mini series. It was a romantic desert love story featuring an arab prince Badir and a western girl. - This is driving me mad!

I think the one you are referring to was called 'Lace' starring Phoebe Cates. The desert part revolved around the love between her mother and an arab prince who 'knocked her up' but didnt marry her. Cates's character goes back to confront her father.

Thanks for your reply. I know the one you are thinking of - but it isn't it. This story was all about Badir and his realtionship with a western woman. They met in a city somewhere I think then eventually he took her to his palace in the desert and she had to try and learn his culture - I think it was quite sad as I recall.
