I defected but want to come back...

Big confession time... this week I thought AB seemed a bit dull because there seemed to be very few people 'participating'. In my foolish need to make contact with the outside world I joined a couple of other forums (please find it in your hearts to forgive me!)

First was Yahoo - what a pile of pants. Waaaaay too many people. It was all happening so fast on there my little brain couldn't cope. Five answers per question every second and no chance to actually say 'hello' to anyone.

Then I joined a local site in the town where I live - really wish I hadn't. What a mean bunch of b*****s! My first post basically said 'hello' and I was subjected to a tirade of abuse along the lines of 'who the f*** are you? tell us everything about yourself and post up a picture otherwise we're banning you... are you good looking - if not, get lost etc etc'

Feeling all hurt and delicate, I'm now returning to good old familiar AB...

Anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about?

Very true. Maybe I was a teeny bit upset... hence returning to AB tonight! Have recently moved home and thought the local forum was a chance to get to know some people - ah well. You live you learn. At least the lunatics on here are ones I'm familiar with.
