On last night's South Bank Show (22/08/04) featuring busker's in London there was some instrumental music played at the beginning (sort of classical with a modern beat) and also the end. Can anyone tell me what it was please?

Wasn't it the normal title music? If so it is "Variations 1-4" from the musical Song and Dance, performed by Julian Lloyd-Webber. It can be found on the Andrew Lloyd-Webber record 'The Premier Collection'.

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply Bat, however it isn't the title music I'm refering to. This piece of music was incidental and was played at the start and end of the program.
Hi Bobbydazzler, I've been trying to find out the what the music was too, if you find out, please would you post it on here I'd love to know. Many thanks, Mezzo :-)
Hey It is Andrew Lloyd-Webber but the piece is a Variation on Caprice by Paganini. Its great for a tap for all those budding dancers out there!
